All day exhibit of hand crafted tenor guitars, ukuleles and other musical instruments sponsored by the Rogue Ale Public House and the Tenor Guitar Foundation. Enjoy breathtaking views, great food, handcrafted beer and handcrafted musical instruments at the end of historic Pier 39!

Meet and Greet for those who arrived in town early at THE COFFEE GIRL located on 39th street at the end of the historic 39th Street Pier, former home of the BumbleBee Cannery. There is some parking on the pier itself as well as parking at the end of the street right before the Trolley Tracks.

Bring your tenor guitar or any other instrument, and you can order coffee and enjoy a light breakfast of bagels and local lox, watch the giant cargo ships pass by, pick up T-shirts you paid for in advance, and play a few tunes while meeting other tenor guitar enthusiasts.

We have arranged, with Clemente's Restaurant at 1198 Commercial Street, across from the Liberty Theatre, to have a wonderful "Tenor Guitar Luncheon". There is no cover charge, but space is limited so you MUST RSVP by calling 503-325-1067.
JEAN MANN performs from 12:30-1pm followed by THE QUIET AMERICAN from 1:00-1:30pm.

Make your resrevation now to assure a seat, and simply order off the menu. If you're with other people the servers will be happy to write separate checks if you mention it to them in advance.

Clemente's is located in the heart of Astoria and after lunch would be a good time to walk around and explore the shops.

For those who would rather play music than explore the shops, there will be a jam session and place to exchange insights about the tenor guitar at the RiversZen Yoga space located at 399 31st Street, on the Columbia River at the end of 31st Street, from 2:00-4:00.

Driving Directions to RiversZen Yoga from downtown Astoria: Head East towards Portland, make a left at the light into the Safeway parking lot where you will be making a U turn in the lot to head back out of the parking lot where you will turn RIGHT and then go a very short distance and turn RIGHT towards the Columbia River on 31st. (You can also make a left on 31st Street before the Safeway, but there is no designated left turn lane, and there is sometimes a lot of logging traffic, so you have the option of going a little bit further to the Safeway for a safe way to get to 31st street…)

4:00pm - 7:00pm FREE TIME

Have dinner or snacks and drinks at The Sand Trap while lisetning to PROF. DOUGLAS FRASER perform from 7pm until 8pm, followed by EZ MARC POSCHMAN from 8pm until 9pm The Sand Trap Pub is located downstairs at McMenamin's Gearhart Hotel, 1157 N. Marion Ave, Gearhart, OR 97138) about 25 minutes drive from downtown Astoria.

Remember, there is no sales tax in Oregon, and there are no parking meters in Astoria (well, I think there are two in front of the Wells Fargo Bank, but that's it…) So you won't have to pay extra for parking, like you would in a big city, and your money at restaurants, in the shops, and if you happen to buy a musical instrument, goes a lot farther!

Please note: The TENOR GUITAR FOUNDATION, organizers of the Annual Tenor Guitar Gatherings, have created an event that is, in most cases, free or inexpensive. There is no cover charge to hear live tenor guitar performers traveling great distances to entertain you at The Sand Trap, Clemente's, The Bridgewater Bistro, The Rogue Ale House,The Ft George, or The Sunday Farmer's Market….and AN EVENING OF TENOR GUITARS is only $12.50 per night when you purchase a ticket for both nights. Workshops (appx 50 minutes) are only $25 each when you purchase for all three workshops.

We encourage you to buy T-Shirts for you and friends back home who couldn't make it. We use the profit from the sale of T-Shirts to make up the difference between charging such a small amount for so many performers. In fact, buying a lot of T-Shirts would be almost like making a donation. And lastly, if you don't want to buy a lot of T-Shirts, and you had a great time, you could always contribute a donation. It would be like giving us a "tip" and letting us know how much you enjoyed your "Four Day Tenor Guitar Weekend" in Astoria.
